How To Send Photos
Drawing caricatures from photos is completely diffrent to having the person in front of me. I ask customers to bear in mind that I have never seen the person I am about to draw, that the only reference I will have is the (2D) photo that you send me so the finished drawing will look like the photo and not the person. It helps me to have more than one photo and that they are clear and large enough to work from. It also helps if the person is not pulling any funny faces or taken from a difficult angle etc.
If you can find an image of the person which has been taken at a slight angle – ie. not straight on and not profile, this gives me the most information to work with. See the examples below. All this being said, I create hundreds of successful caricatures from all sorts of photos, so try me. I’ll let you know if I can work with the photos you send.
