Parties – Dinners – Receptions – Anniversiaries – Barmitzvahs

No matter what sort of party you are having, close-up walk-about entertainment will hugely enhance your guest’s experience. I like the idea that what I bring to the party is not only hilarious entertainment – watching people getting the ‘caricature transformation’ – but that they will take home a truely original gift.

I appear at birthday parties, anniversaries, corporate receptions, office parties, barmitzvahs – the list goes on. I work sitting or standing or walking about. Guests may be at dinner, chatting in a reception or dancing the night away on the deck of a cruise boat. The variations are endless.

Most people are more than willing to pose for me and it only takes a minute or two to sketch them. I then spend another couple of minutes adding the shading and finishing touches and Voila! a really original souvenir.

As you can see from the photos, I normally work on A4 white card which I can put in a protective envelope for people to take home.  With the  experience of years, this size is so much more convenient as it can be stored and transported without folding, rolling or damaging the drawing in any way. I draw directly with a brush pen and shade in with quick drying markers. This saves the mess of charcoal dust and spraying smelly lacquer indoors.

I can produce 15 or more drawings per hour if the circumstances are right, which means at an average 3 hour party I’ll draw around 45 people.
